Wondering if I've got no sugar
because my skin is pale.

Walking this earth a bit confused
about what I need to be.
Not black enough to come home,
but and not white enough to leave.

So I guess I'll hold this flower
so that maybe they'll start to see
that I am like its pedals
awaiting the sun to shine on me...
